Bus stop shlters

Columbus, OH
Bus stop shlters
Description:

Forge should work with COTA to implement more bus stop shelters around Columbus. Having a shelter while waiting for a bus preserves dignity, protects riders from elements, and gives an especially safe space for the disabled or elderly. An example of a shelter that should be implemented is the stop at W. Broad St. and Broadlawn Ave. I have seen riders in power wheelchairs and elderly hovering near the bus sign in rain, snow, and extreme sun/heat. This bus stop is in front of the Consumer Square Shopping Center which has popular businesses such as Kroger, Target, and Dollar Tree. Forge can work with COTA to determine additional stops that need shelters to increase safety and dignity for riders.
