Convert Summit and Fourth Street into two-way streets

Columbus, OH

One-way surface streets create rivers of fast moving automobiles that depress walking and street life. The city should convert Summit and Fourth street back into two way streets to help encourage walking and street life in Italian Village and surrounding neighborhoods

This is a great idea, I also think it would be beneficial to the safety of all residents to include more visible and more frequent crosswalks. The existing crosswalks are extremely far apart and are often ignored by automobiles, leaving it up to pedestrians to run across the street whenever they can, which is horribly unsafe. Especially around the University district, students leave for class at times similar to the times when people in cars are leaving for work. Lighted crosswalks would slow traffic and make walking safer!
