The cherry creek trail is a great asset to our community as it provides safe and easy transportation in a beautiful environment through the city for cyclists, pedestrians, in-line skaters, families, and more. however, connections to the trail are severely lacking, and in most places, require cyclists and pedestrians to cross speer blvd illegally - because these are the only places that there are drop-ins to the trail (or a sloped curb for bikes). this is specifically bad at the entrance near 4th/logan crossing speer northbound, however, i've noticed it at several areas. i would like to paint crosswalks at each of these crossings to slow traffic and give cyclists and pedestrians a safer way to cross the street to access the trail.
