I feel that given the state of chicago’s socioeconomic resume, and since a large majority of this cities income and equity derives from tourism and its own collection of tourist attractions i feel the most logical and profitable addition to the city would be a new building on north mendell street and west cortland. it would sport new sleeker architecture with photosynthetically conductive solar cells embedded on the windows exterior, along with a hydraulic turbine built into the foundation of the building submerged into the river side for a combination of solar and hydro-electric power. the building would feature skylofts along the side of the building with each complex coming complete with an eco-friendly garden, the apartments would curve alongside the building as well as the glass.the hotel design would be able to evenly distribute power throughout each of the 20-40 floors and contain a recreation room, swimming pool, lounge,sauna, and theater as well as modern interiors.
