It's a shame that such a beautiful and useful building isn't in use. It's already there. Just needs a little TLC. And we need more positive public spaces in the neighborhood that look cared for and give back to the community.
Garfield Park is a masterpiece and should be preserved for future generations. The Park District has let it go for too long.
The band shell is important because it represented what Garfield Park once stood for which was togetherness.
It is important that steps be taken to improve the quality of life for all residents in Chicago, not just the North side... The Westside also has hard-working, tax paying residents who want the best for their families too.
it's one of the most beautiful structures in the chicago parks, and deserves a second life!
This is a one of a kind structure worth spending time and money to save. Art has a restorative effect and a power to overturn violence and negativity.
The band shell could help create a positive loitering. Many people have asked about holding events there. It currently odds a place for negative loitering. We can do better.

Garfield Park's bandshell seems like a much better venue. It's already there and would be great to restore and use it. Hope it happens!
