Crosswalk for fulton market and halsted

The fulton market district is growing rapidly, with restaurants and markets attracting a lot of foot traffic, especially over the weekends. green city markets has even opened up a farmer's market at the parking lot in front of glazed and confuzed and the publican.

however, getting to that side (the west side) of halsted, is incredibly dangerous. currently, there is no stop light, stop sign, or even a crosswalk at the corner. pedestrians have to wait for a gap in traffic, but the cars have no incentive to slow down.

it seems logical that, at the very least, a crosswalk and pedestrian crossing signs should be put up in that location.
