Develop a Street "Right-Sizing" Initiative for overbuilt arterial streets within the City that allows for the reduction and/or reallocation of underutilized lane miles of roadway and provides focused - or even increased - maintenance on the lane miles that remain in use. Such strategies can help create safer and more accessible streets; encourage walking, biking and transit use; integrate green infrastructure (plants and trees); better support businesses and the local economy; and create places that foster community livability.
