Attract vendors that will provide watercraft recreation in the downtown. This could be located at Detweiller Marina and offering kayaks, canoes, paddle boats & rowing crew boats rentals.

I would think partnering up with bass pro or other boating facilities to rent boats and pontoons would be appreciated.
I support this, but worry about water safety with inexperienced participants, especially with barge traffic. Would love to see this happen though, especially in conjunction with the Detweiler Marina and Peoria Boat Club.
The river is our biggest asset. Getting more people to use it would help sustain it.
Great idea. Any additional recreation involving the river will benefit the entire area. The river is an important asset that is currently under utilized.
