Hello, i am writing for the lincoln square/west ridge neighborhood. this neighborhood happens to have an overload of crime. you would expect people to be at home. sadly, people around my neighborhood are at the local park, “warren park." it’s mostly at night though. i think that one of the issues with this is that it's before curfew. i know local police in the neighborhood, but i don’t see park patrol for what it is known for. last time i went to warren park, there was a shooting while i was playing basketball. anyone who lives near west ridge's probably heard of warren park and the crime.
i think we should hire special people to patrol the parks late at night. people that know about this first-hand. i am only a teenager, but i know that if we hire people with familiarity they would know what was going on in the neighborhood. i think that we should also build a recreational center. if someone has a person to talk to, they'd be willing to give up an unhealthy lifestyle. thank you. :)
