I feel this would be a prime spot for a walking park where access could be gained with a drop down from the rec trail to the north, or from Kern to the south. My vision sees this as a natural area except for a path for walking. Let large trees fill the space like the area surrounding it. Use part of the La Gondola property as a parking lot for the park. To fit with the Bicentennial theme, stopping points could be added which give little reading opportunities on the history of Washington's first 200 years.
