During these pandemic times, with the 606 and lakefront parks closed, I am proposing we make use of our boulevards as pedestrian walkways. They are wide enough for citizens to comply with social distancing and would allow us to enjoy the outdoors without cars or tight sidewalks. Please close W Logan Blvd and N Kedzie Ave to pedestrians (see map) and allow citizens the space for a much needed breath of fresh air. We can paint lines six feet apart and label them so there is an understanding of how to safely distance ourselves.

I'm sure there are other streets better suited for this and would love to hear other opinions. Perhaps a pedestrian biking and/or walking commuter street could be possibility as well (N Milwaukee Ave).
