Pedestrian-friendly plaza

Chicago, IL
Description:

Right now, the plaza level, especially between the hotel and the parking garages, feels car-heavy. While most drivers take the curves near the entrance of the East Tower carefully, it just feels like a horrible traffic jam all the time. Is there a way to reduce the traffic on the plaza level and make it easier for pedestrians to the HoB, hotel, Subway, Smith and Wollensky, and the towers to walk around without feeling like they may accidentally get run over? Also, all the cars parked on the plaza level (not the ones waiting to be valet'd) make it look crowded and uninviting. Like the city version of people who park cars on their front lawn.

I agree with this though I haven't a clue how it could be changed. It seems like it might be a "low cost" project and certainly make our plaza entrance more desirable.
