I have taught as a teacher of diverse learners at Kelly High School for over 20 years. I am currently co-teaching Chemistry and Biology. To include literacy within the science classes, my co-teacher and I are working on a unit on building sustainable community resources in conjunction with the reading the novel "The Martian" by Andy Weir. The culmination of the project will be to develop a hydroponics lab to grow community to share in the community.
