Loop Universities are working together spaces - from dorms to exhibit space. Could established and new players in the biotech community find value in collaborating in a shared space? UI Labs could serve as an example and Matter, the new not-for-profit biotech hub opening next door to 1871 in the Merchandise Mart, could feed into it. Matter will not have lab space - it will be a hub for workshops and mentoring, as well as a meeting place for universities to connect with companies. So a new space that includes lab space could help fill that void.
