I would love to see clean up and restoration of and along the Chicago River to make it safe for wildlife and recreation (i.e. biking, walking, kayaking). I am thinking, in particular, of something like the Lincoln Park Lagoon and Nature's Boardwalk, which has been incredibly successful. http://www.lpzoo.org/nature-boardwalk

I live within a few minutes walk of General Iron and so far, I've seen no plans that would benefit the community of people who actually live in the Clybourn Corridor. However, THIS idea - a nature boardwalk - would give many of us a reason to make the river a destination and enjoy it as part of our neighborhood.
